Rally is a relatively new sport in the canine world, it's fun to do and is not restrictive to anyone, dog or human, regardless of age and ability. It's about teamwork between you and your dog. It's about navigating a set course in a set time, following the exercises shown at each station you come to. The exercises vary in the degree of difficulty depending on the level you are working, these levels start at 1 and go through to 6. Each dog/handler team enters the ring with 200 points, you need 170 or more points to qualify. As you make your way around the course, points are lost for errors made. It's not as strict as competitive obedience, can be a lot of fun and is suitable for disabled people as well. If you want to come and have a look please do, we are a friendly bunch. We meet at the village hall in West Buckland, Nr Wellington.
